Instructions for applicants

Understanding our recruitment procedure will help you to apply for a position. Please read these instructions carefully.

Prepare your application

  • Read the advertisement carefully. Ask yourself ‘What are the most important requirements of the position?'
  • Download the position description, read it thoroughly and start preparing your response. You must address the position description outlining your qualifications, skills and experience to fulfil the role.
  • Note the name of the person taking enquiries about the job. Phone them, if necessary, to introduce yourself and ask any questions you may have about the position.
  • Have your list of questions ready before you make the call and be ready to jot down any information that might be relevant to the application. This is your opportunity to sell yourself, bridge any information gaps about the role and gain insight into our organisation.

Application check list

You must provide the following documents, in Word or PDF format only, to support your application:

  • A cover letter indicating your interest in the role. Please quote the correct position title.
  • A statement of response addressing the position description, outlining your qualifications, skills and experience to fulfil the role.
  • A resume outlining your personal contact details, professional work experience, achievements and qualifications. Use reverse chronological order, with the most recent experience first.
  • Details of three (3) work related referees. Referees will only be contacted for applicants who have been shortlisted.

Your application must be received by the closing date to be considered.

What happens next?

  • Based on the information provided the selection panel will create a short list of applicants to interview.
  • In general, short-listed applicants will be contacted within a week of the closing date to arrange an interview time.
